Garden of Eden

Installation with flowers, urban intervention, 2018

Fashion industry today is struggling with a surplus of stock. It is well known that many luxury brands destroy unwanted items to prevent them from being stolen or sold cheaply since it can negatively affect the brand image. And nobody cares about the negative effects on the environment.

I had some luxury second-hand stuff that once was passed to me from my fashionable aunt. I had no intention to wear it so I decided to give those Prada boots and Gucci bag a chance for a better life making flowerbeds out of them. The whole installation was placed in the yard near my apartment. Also, there was established a Golden Ring with diamonds made of an old tire keeping the strong tradition of Russian Peoples Housing Art (ZhEK Art).  In three days all the items had been stolen.
